Fiery Prawns in Garlic Tamarind Sauce

Fiery Prawns in Garlic Tamarind Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oil
- 5-7 tbsp flour seasoned with salt and pepper
- 450g large prawns/tiger prawns
- 1 onion thinly sliced
- 2 tsp RoniB's Kitchen Garlic Chilli Oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp RoniB's Kitchen Tamarind Jam
- 1 red bell pepper cut into small squares
- salt and pepper to taste
- chopped parsley
Directions
In a bowl, prepare your seasoned flour. Set aside.
Peel, clean and devein the prawns. Toss in the seasoned flour.
In a pan, heat oil.
- Add the flour-coated prawns and cook until it turns pink. Take off heat and set aside.
In a saucepan, saute onions until translucent.
Add the garlic chilli oil, soy sauce and tamarind jam. Mix well.
- Add the bell peppers. Keep stirring and simmer for about 2 minutes.
Toss the cooked prawns in the sauce, making sure each piece is coated.
- Add chopped parsley and serve.
