RoniB's Kitchen awarded 3-stars at the Great Taste Awards
At 2PM BST, The Guild of Fine Food announced the 2022 Great Taste Awards and we are absolutely elated to have been awarded the most coveted 3 stars!
Our Black Bean Chilli Paste has made it to that exclusive group that is labeled as:
"Extraordinarily tasty foods – around 2% of products are awarded 3-stars each year. Don’t leave the shop without buying it!"
We are thrilled to once again receive this award for the fourth year in a row.
Here's what the judges said.
"Really inviting appearance with a wonderful orange, red and black hue and a great consistency that is exactly what you would want to see in a chilli paste. There is a great depth of flavour, very umami-rich and savoury, whilst the heat level is just right, making for a highly versatile product. It has a smooth, rounded flavour with plenty of depth. The aroma is reminiscent of Shaoxing wine. We can see lots of uses for this."
"Complex and rife with umami, this grows from something quite tame into a beast that fills the mouth. Fruity, quite tannic, and with well-judged heat, the little anise is the perfect partner to the almost cinder caramel-like black bean. This is just glorious in every way."
